Music School Annual Concert 2013

It's our music school annual concert again. I have been joining the concert since many years ago but this is 弟弟 first music concert.

Well, 弟弟 join back his music class after he stopped for few months.
This time he is willing to follow teacher's instruction and also show his interest in the class activities.
Not like previous time, he just sit aside and watch the other children play around during the class.

IMAGINE - this year concert theme

This year, the venue is in the indoor stadium of a high school. I would said that this venue is not a good place for a concert. The stage is small, and the sound system is not very good as well.

Besides, when the children perform, you can see a lot of parents just walking from one side to the other as it is a stadium. 

We like the concert that held in Dewan Budaya, USM. The stage is high and all the audiences are able to focus on the stage, it is like a cinema. 

As I am going to sit for ABRSM piano exam soon, teacher arranged us to play one of the song from our exam pieces in the concert.

弟弟 also been selected as his class representative to play piano in the concert.
As they all are very young, around 3-4 years old, they shared the piano. You can see that, 弟弟 actually playing together with another 2 children with the same piano.

As 弟弟 music group also perform a dance named Chiwawa. So mommy asked me to company him, that's why I am joining the dancing performance as well, though this is for younger children.

Before the dance, let's have a group photo. We, elder jie jie are wearing the yellow blinking ear where  弟弟 and the others younger children are wearing either orange or pink ear.

You spot 弟弟 and I? Actually is hard to take photo during their performance. All the parents just stand in front of the "dancer" and holding their camera up high for shooting. We can't get a clear and good picture on the whole group performance. Even mommy already stand at the highest staircase.

We, with yellow blinking ear are standing at the front row to guide those younger children. However, you see, some of the orange ear is standing together with us.

See all the parents are standing just in front of the children and we are not on the stage, so is just same level of height. That's why we can take a good photo of the group. Every parents will just focus on their kids and shooting on individual performance.

After the dance, we wait for a while to watch those elder jie jie and ke ke dancing.

This is during morning rehearsal. At least not that many parents and we able to snap some photo.

Not a good performance but at least 弟弟 got a chance to expose to public and he is independent enough and able to follow instruction now. Especially when I was on the stage to play piano, he just sit at one corner (the waiting area) and wait for me. Not like others di di, their mummy complaint that when the elder sister go up stage, the younger boy run around to find his sister and cry when he can't find her.
