2013 Chinese New Year - 癸巳年

Time flies...is Chinese New Year...again.

This year is really rush for mommy as she was very busy on her work for the last two weeks before CNY. Therefore, everything was last minute preparation.

This year is kind of special as 舅舅and 姨姨 came back before new year eve (除夕).

Normally 姨姨 will only be back on the 2nd or 3rd day of CNY.

Since there will be more people for the reunion lunch and dinner, we decided to buy a set of 盆菜 from restaurant. Mommy made a booking around one month ahead and only collect it on a day before new year eve.

 It was frozen when mommy collect from restaurant. Together with the package there is 2 container of soup which we pour inside the big bowl before heat up.
We had this 盆菜 as our reunion lunch.

In the evening, mommy prepared steamboat with help of Ah Mah of course as the reunion dinner. Quite common, right? Nothing special.

At night, we still went to 奶奶 house for another round of reunion dinner. But we still full when we were there, only papa had the dinner.

After back from 奶奶 house, around 10pm, mommy started to make Chinese New Year cupcakes.
Her initial plan was to make around 30pcs for the guests that come to Ah Mah's house on first day of CNY. However, she only manage to finish 10pcs and it's already pass 12 midnight. While everyone celebrating CNY with fire crackers, mommy still rolling fondant decorating her cupcakes : )

We spent almost a week with BB, oops he is big enough...no longer a BB, should call him Eugene.
As usual, when 3 of us get together, it always the most headache part for Ah Mah.

弟弟 Art work for Chinese New Year

This is 弟弟 art work from his nursery for Chinese New Year.

He doesn't know how to read that chinese character when he brought back from school.

However, after mommy teach him how to pronounce that word, he can recognized the word.

I asked mommy to look at the notice board in our canteen when she bring me to school in the morning.
The reason is my art work has been posted on the notice board. This is my first art work for Standard One. The theme is about Chinese New Year.
