Thung started to learn English & Mandarin after going to nursery.
English is her main communication language as her form teacher & the teacher’s helper are Indian. While mandarin is her conversation between friends and other teachers, I believed.

Nowadays, she will try to speak English at home, in her own way. Sometimes nobody understands what she said, just those “ki li ku lu….” words from her.

Case 1:
Last weekend, a raining evening. She stood at the balcony’s window and looked outside.
Suddenly she ran towards me and said” Mommy, rain down”

I know what she meant.

She understand rain = 雨， down = 下
Therefore, 下雨 = rain down


Case 2:
No = 不要, 没有 see = 看
Therefore, 不要看 = no see
And, 看不到 = no see


This is part of her learning progress, I believe there will be more and more "english word" from Thung.

Mommy's old friend -- Auntie Jestina

Last Saturday mommy has an lunch appointment to meet up an old friend -- Auntie Jestina.
It's weekend, therefore papa & I are following mommy to the lunch.

We went to G-hotel around 1pm as initial plan was to have Japanese lunch over there.
Unfortunately, Auntie Jestina was trapped in traffic jam and by the time she reached G-hotel was about 2pm.
Most of the restaurants in G-hotel closed at 2:30pm for lunch except the G-cafe open for all day long.
Finally we made the decision to have our lunch at Xuan Xin Restaurant in Gurney Plaza.

A Simple Breakfast

Nowadays mommy seldom cooks/ bakes as her tummy is getting bigger and heavier.

However, last weekend she still prepared breakfast for me.

It's a simple & easy to prepare breakfast -- bread fried with egg.

The breakfast is not in a very good presentation but the most important is I like it and I almost finished all of them.

Mommy knows I like cheese, so she purposely put some cheese there.

Mommy is 60kg!

Yes! Mommy is 60kg and she is 32 week pregnant.
So far mommy has increased 13kg since pregnant.

If you see the below weight monitoring chart, mommy has the same trend of weight increased as 1st pregnancy. But this time, Doctor told mommy her amniotic fluid is too much. BB has lots of space to move and BB's position is not stable yet. Therefore, mommy has to be very careful and if the water bag burst, must immediately go to hospital.

Nursery Update

It's school holiday!
This is the 1st school break I have after I started my nursery.

Here are some update of my 2 and a half month nursery progress.
I can recognize A to Z (both small & capital letters) & 1 ~10 before I went to nursery, but I'm not able to write any of them. Now, I learn how to read & write, coloring as well.

Everyday I'll bring back 2~4 books that teacher taught at school for parent to review and by end of every month, teacher will let students bring back all the books and parents is required to sign on the latest page that teacher taught of each book. That's how parent keep track on their kid's progress & development.

Moral

My writing practice at home which mommy prepared for me.

A week ago, I still need mommy to guide me to write "5".

This week, I'm able to write by my own but still learning for number "8".

Still need guide for "G", "e", "f" & "g".

The Ladybird Key Words Reading Scheme

That day 姑姑Ah Mah brought a series of Ladybird reading books to Papa.
These books actually owned by Papa when he was a kid. Yes! these books are more than 30 years old.

What a coincidence! My nursery also use the same Ladybird reading scheme featuring Peter and Jane to develop our reading skill. There are 3 categories: a, b & c. Each categories have 12 books.
It introduce new key words step by step in 'a' books and the new words are repeat in 'b' books. This help me to recognize the words. 'c' books link the reading with writing where kids are request to write down those key words.

Although mommy knows that I may not really understand the meaning of every single word, but at least I can recognize the word and able to pronounce. Now I'm able to read the whole book of 1a & 1b.

Bugslock

Mommy used to buy me mosquito repellent which is being used when we go to those "high risk" places. Previous mosquito repellent is a round pad (as below photo) and used double sided tape to stick on. It normally won't last long and easy to drop especially when mommy stick on my clothes. Sometimes by the time we went home, the mosquito pad has gone, don't know when/where it dropped.

This is the new product that mommy bought for me -- Bugslock.

It's a non-toxic band type of mosquito repellent. It can easily wear on wrist or ankle, or even hanging at my stroller. For more info, you may visit to the bugslock website.

My Music Class

I started my music class since Jul'08. I've completed Book 1 and now further to Book 2 from Mar'09 onwards. The fee for Book 2 is RM10 more expensive than Book 1. Mommy said if I'm no longer interested, she will stop my class (as recently I don't actually follow what teacher done).

But every weekend, I'll ask mommy: “when we go to music school?”
So mommy still think that I'm so keen to go for the music class : p

Ah Mah helped to make clothes for the bear. For Kangaroo, I haven't request to Ah Mah yet.
