Genting Mar'12

We took a short break to Genting Highland during the school holiday last week.

This is my 4th time to Genting, not really remember it but luckily can check on the previous post for the trip history.

1st visit to Genting was on Jan'09 while I was 3 years old (弟弟 still inside mommy's tummy)

2nd visit was on Nov'o9 (弟弟 7 months old, but we didn't bring 弟弟 along)

3rd visit was on May'10 (it's actually mommy's company trip but family is allowed to follow)

4th visit is now - Mar'12. That means it has been almost 2 years we didn't visit to Genting, i think the main reason is because of 弟弟.

He is too small to go there and he is too naughty as he always not to listen to mommy or papa.

He doesn't want to hold hand when go to public area in fact he likes to run here and there.

He can't stop playing those kiddy rides (we always have a problem to bring him away from the ride in the shopping mall)

Now, 弟弟 is almost 3 years old. He can understand what we meant (but he just doesn't want to follow). Luckily 弟弟 behave well while we were in Genting. Though got throw a little tantrum sometimes, still within control.

Now I reached 107cm compared to Nov'09 I was just at 90+ level.

弟弟 won't stand straight when taking photo. I think he reached 90cm level as well.

Last time, I used to play alone. But now I got 弟弟 accompany.

Most of the games we play together except the Bumper Car.

This is for small kids' ride. 弟弟 ride it day and night. Sometimes without me as I was playing Bumper Car just in the same playground.

The small carousel is also another ride that 弟弟 played it day and night.

Interesting part is he likes that pink elephant. He will chose the same elephant most of the time. Especially if he ride it alone. He will follow the queue line (not many kids there actually) and then climb up the elephant by himself though sometimes the attendant will be helping.

When the carousel started to move, 弟弟 behaved very well, he sit still without moving here and there or stand up. Mommy feel comfortable and allowed 弟弟 to ride alone, sometimes without my accompany.

When we asked 弟弟 to change, he choose this crown's car.

Car ride - the car move quite fast, this one I always ride together with 弟弟.

Aeroplane ride - papa & I in front while mommy & 弟弟 behind us.

Antique car ride - 1st time papa&I in the first car in front of mommy& 弟弟 car.

Second ride, I sit in front together with 弟弟 while papa&mommy sit behind. We all in 1 car.

弟弟 likes this balloon Ferris wheel as well. He will request to ride it whenever he saw it.

My favorite game for this trip - Bumper car. This is also the game that mommy didn't want 弟弟 to play. She said it's too dangerous with 弟弟 around.

This time I able to control the car by myself and I know how to bump on others as well :)

Horse ride is also another game that 弟弟 didn't play for this time. He is too small for the ride. Though he reached the minimum height requirement, mommy thought he will be scaring while the ride moving up and down.

Why mommy said 弟弟 scared of moving up and down?

See the photo below, every time we ride the merry-go-round (big one), 弟弟 choose to sit on the bench which can't move through out the ride. He said:" Horse mai...par par..." (don't want horse, scared)

But I am opposite with 弟弟 , I like the horse as it can move up and down.

At night, I accompany 弟弟 sit on the bench during the carousel ride.

Choo-Choo-Train

There are many crowns in the theme park and also in hotel lobby.

They made balloon for kids. 弟弟 used to get a sword from the crown as he is a boy.

See the flower on my hand? It's the balloon made by the crown on the 1st day.

2nd day I requested for flower bracelet again and I got a pink one.

We spent 3D2N at Genting.

On the 1st day afternoon, 弟弟 was too tired as he woke up at 7am in the morning.

He fell asleep while we were waiting for our dinner in the restaurant.

See... he just slept "on" the table.

This is a great trip to me & 弟弟.

This is 弟弟 first trip to Genting and I believed he did enjoyed it very much.

However, the indoor theme park has some minor change since our last visit.

The boat ride no longer in operation and the indoor Ferris Wheel is gone.

The Ferris Wheel's area has turned into a new casino.

Amelie Cafe

We went to Armenian Street on Feb'13 and we can't find this cafe anymore.

Mommy checked the info in website and found out it is closed for renovation.

Let's wait for her new look and perhaps new menu : )

Amelie Cafe - again this is a new cafe to us (mommy just knew it 1 months+ ago).

But this cafe is quite famous in Georgetown.

It's located at Armenian Street. You may just passed by this cafe and never know as there are lots of plants in front of the cafe. You may not know this is a cafe.

The cafe sign board is hidden behind those green plants.

The unique of this cafe is about GREEN - Recycle!

See the interior design of the cafe. It reuse all those old stuff as part of the cafe decoration.

The tables and chairs are made of woods and some are reuse old school's classroom table.

Mommy brought us there on Saturday as we need to pick up some stuff at town area in the morning. By the time we reached the cafe, it's almost 11:30am. We understand that breakfast only served till 11:30am. Therefore, we only can order for lunch menu.

I had a tomato source spaghetti, mommy ordered bacon & asparagus spaghetti.

弟弟 had bacon & egg sandwich, eventually shared with Ah Mah.

This is our first visit to Amelie Cafe, a good experience for us to have lunch in this type of cafe.

Though there is no air conditioning in the cafe, we didn't feel hot even it's lunch hour.

We like the food as it tastes nice. To us, the price is a bit expensive as it's almost comparable to a restaurant price.

Cake Pop

Last weekend mommy tried to make some cake pop.

This is her first attempt on cake pop. Well, the result is good to see but not really good to eat :p

Mommy change the recipe, she changed to use butter cake as the base.

After baked the cake, crumbled, frosting and rolled into the desired shape / pattern.

Mommy made cupcake cake pop, the shape is just like a mini cupcake.

See where pop poke the cake pop? It's on the small butter cake that baked for me and 弟弟.

At first mommy can't find a container to make the cake pop stand straight after chocolate coating. I was the one suggested to mommy to poke the cake pop on top of the butter cake.

Just like candle. Good idea, it worked and the cake can be hold straight up after the coating.

However, the cake inside is too oily. I think mommy didn't follow the recipe in the book and she just based on her feeling to put in the frosting. Frosting will made the cake moist but I think mommy put in too much frosting.
