Blue Reef Fish & Chips - Farewell Party

I went to a farewell party together with mommy in Blue Reef Fish & Chips, Straits Quay. It was mommy's colleague farewell party. This is the first time I went to this restaurant.

It's dinner on Friday night. Mommy was told to come early, before 7pm as there is no reservation allow on Friday night and weekend. Therefore, we reached there aorund 6:30pm and we were the first to arrive.

The waiter that deal with mommy on the menu pre-order, number of pax....etc gave me a piece of white paper and a small box of color pencil. That's how they settle the kids, keep us busy with drawing while parents are having the meal. There is a wall that put up all the kids' drawing but we were told that the drawing only change on every Sunday.

 This is what I drew, a fishing boat. A lot of questions been asked from mommy's colleague...why the fish is flying? Is there any shark inside the sea? Can you draw a shark? ...etc...

 Mommy baked a cake for the party. So happened that mommy went to one of the cake's ingredients shop there and bought a cake decoration pen. We used that pen to sign our name on the cake as it's fondant surface.

My Teeth Development

See those permanent teeth that has been emerged so far... one of the upper central incisor almost half way come out. The lower lateral incisor also emerged at the same time, but a bit slower compare to central incisor.
This is the progress of my permanent teeth development. Actually the upper central incisor has been pulled out for quite some times ago, I think is about 6 months ago.

GUILD Exam Level 1

I got my certificate today from my music teacher.

This is my second examination, 1st was Preliminary level, happened on last year.

This time I have done it much better compared to last year. 

This year I awarded with Distinction. To me this is consider good as I don't really like to go for the exam initially.

This year teacher asked if we were interested to enroll to ABRSM exam for Grade 1, however I am not ready and I knew it will be a tough exam, I told mommy I don't want to take the exam this year.

That is why I only take GUILD exam, Level 1.

The camera mommy always use to take our daily photo has been broken by 弟弟. Now mommy uses the old camera and just realized that there is some problem with the lens as almost half of the photo is blur : (

China House

China House - you can say it located at Beach Street or Victoria Street. 

This is because it's a very long heritage building and if you come from Beach Street, it's a cafe and restaurant serve good dinner and many varieties of cakes.

If you come from Victoria Street, it's a bar where there will be a live band performance on certain day.

Mommy went there before and she was told that there are 32types of cake in total, but it usually only available on weekend. The variety on weekday is not that many. 

One of the famous cake is Tiramisu. It's different from the traditional Tiramisu which the top surface is covered by caramel almond instead of cocoa powder.

We went there after our dinner, therefore we only ordered cakes and ice-cream.

A special ice-cream that we tried was home made Gula Melaka ice-cream.

We ordered eggnog cheese cake and Banana Trutle Torte.

The water is free flow

Something special about this restaurant is each table will be covered by a big piece of white paper.
There is a small glass on each table and there are crayons inside.
The crayon is for the guest to draw on the white paper prepared.
We are free to draw anything on the paper. In fact, this is one of the good idea to keep the kids busy while the parents are having their meals.
弟弟was very excited with the crayon and he "draw" a lot.
I can't finish my drawing as I was busy with my ice-cream.

Overall, this is a nice place serves good food and many type of cakes awaiting us to explore.
For sure we will be back again : )

My Music School's Concert Jul'12

1st Jul was my music school's annual concert.

This year we were asked to perform. We have to play 3 songs selected by teacher.

There are 4 of us in our class, but only 3 turn up for the performance.

We were under junior performance which happened in the the first hour of the concert.

After that, it's the concert! And it's all about adult performance.

 Although I don't know who is he, but he purposely came to Penang for this concert.

The song he played was "The Butterfly Lovers" which is 梁祝 in Chinese.

Jasmine Chen, a singer came from Shanghai. She sang few old songs like 玫瑰，玫瑰。

We didn't stay till the concert end as tomorrow is a school day.

Furthermore, 弟弟 is waiting at Ah Mah's house and he kept on calling mommy to bring him home.

No video for this concert. Why? By the time papa want to take video during my performance, the camera lens cannot open, it jammed. This is because 弟弟 always push the lens back when it's turn on.

It's time for mommy to change a new camera.
