Mommy was busy in doing Chinese New Year's preparation until she got no time to update my blog.
Finally mommy made the decision to change my nursery. This happened on the 1st day of school on 2009.
I went to school as usual as I've been used to it for the past 1 month. However, today I found that my form teacher is not the same person anymore. I'm looking for my form teacher! So I cried when other teacher brought me to the class. Furthermore, my classroom changed also.
Mommy really unhappy with this arrangement as I've been taught by 3 different teachers within a month.
1~12 Dec – Teacher F, downstairs classroom, building 1
15~2 Jan – Teacher S, upstairs classroom, building 1
5-Jan – Teacher C, upstairs classroom, building 2
(The nursery is 2 semi-D joint together. Therefore got 2 buildings.)
As a 3-year-old child, mommy doesn't prefer me to study upstairs. She raised this concern to my form teacher before but teacher said let me try for few weeks.
During the first changed of my form teacher, I also feel very uncomfortable and I cried for a while especially when mommy dropped me in the early morning. After few days, I'm ok with the new teacher but now change again...!!
Mommy raised her concern to the principal, below are their conversation.
Mommy: Why your school always change form teacher? Children not easy to get used to
...............the environment & teachers, after they familiar, you change again.
Principal: No…we don't change teacher. We are not getting in new faces to the children.
...............We just swap the form teachers classes. All the teachers are here everyday,
...............your kid should see them around everyday. It’s not considered as new teacher.
Mommy: But to my kid, this is new teacher. She always looks for her form teacher when
...............come to school. Now change teacher, she feels like a stranger come to her lor.
Principal: No…you should let her try few days. Let her used to it.
Mommy: Yes, I already let her tried for the first time teacher changed. But now is 2nd
...............time. I don't know when will be the 3rd, 4th…time.
After the conversation, mommy told the principal she would like to stop my class.
The principal asked mommy to consider and feedback by the next day.
Mommy has made up her mind to change my nursery. Immediately after her work that day, we went to see another nursery together with Ah Mah. This new nursery is just 4 houses away from the current nursery : )
The new principal wait for us to come and showed us around. This time mommy insisted to let me study at downstairs.
The new principal told mommy that as I born in Jan, I can actually follow 4 years old's class. If I can pass the exam when I'm 5 years old, I can go to Standard 1 at 6 years old which means I go to primary school 1 year earlier than normal age. (but the first nursery never mentioned this to mommy)
So mommy let me follow the 4 years old class and I changed to this new nursery on the next day. This new nursery got uniform & sports wear (more money to pay of course) but I like this nursery and I didn't cry since day 1 till now which is the 3rd week.
On the next day, mommy went back to the first nursery and told the principal I'll quit the class. The principal agree to pay back partial of the money paid. At the same time, the principal tried to explain on the teacher changed issue.
Principal: I think she just go to Teacher C class for 1 day.
Mommy: Oh yes, you just changed since 5-Jan mah….so 1 day lor.
Principal: No, that day was because Teacher S not came, so we asked Teacher C
................to replace.
Mommy: …?????...
Oh no!! Mommy can recognize all the 3 form teachers as she brings me to the form teacher everyday. Mommy saw all the 3 teachers are there that day, how come the principal said one of the teacher is not coming? Furthermore, yesterday what she told mommy is totally different story. Looks like this nursery is more on commercial purpose rather than caring the children.
After changed to new nursery, I ask Ah Mah to tie my hair everyday but I never do so for the past 1 month. I think I like this nursery and I enjoy going to school now. Although this new nursery is small (about 50~60 students) compare to first one (over 100 students) but mommy & Ah Mah feel comfortable as teacher can pay more attention to the children.
Fasten seat belt first...........see, Ah Mah helped me to tie my hair.
