An Appreciation Note

We had our year end holiday in KL. Yes, this is our 2nd trip to KL for 2010.

Thung enjoyed a lot though it's just a 3D2N shopping trip (yet to post about the trip as not yet download all the photos)

The most touching part is...on our last day in KL, on the way going for last shopping before we headed home, Thung wrote a note in the car. I was wonder what she wrote and I thought she just drew for fun.

She asked: "mommy, how to spell 'give' ? Not present ya, give..."

After I spell for her, a short while later she passed me this note.

I know she want to write KLCC instead of KLLCC.

Though her grammar is not correct, but I know what she meant.

So sweet my little girl, she knows how to appreciate now.

But this create another problem as she only wrote for me, not for her papa.

Papa a bit jealous and told her next time not to drive her there, not to book hotel for her...LOL!

Christmas Eve 2010

Same as last year, we will have a Christmas Eve dinner in hotel as mommy usually choose buffet.

This year, we went to Eastin Hotel and this is the first time we went there for dinning.

Hotel also provided wine. 1 glass per person.

As usual, Ah Qiang 舅舅 joined us but mommy said last year he didn't join.

We met Santa but 弟弟 didn't like Santa.

Before home, we took photo infront of the gingerbread house.

A simple dinner for our Christmas celebration. Though we are not Christian but this special day helps to bring us together and share the happiness.

My Photography Journey

I got this camera from 舅舅 on March'10. Since then, I've been using this camera to take photos I like.

However, I don't like to take photo if we visit to the same restaurant or same venue. I only take photo for those new places, new environments. I'll tell mommy :"we have been here before, no need to take photo".

Mommy got the DSLR from 舅舅 as well and now she got 2 as 舅舅 change to Canon and all his alpha he either sold or gave away.

Now...it's my turn to use the DSLR. I was so curious why mommy always look into the small hole when she took photo but I no need to do so with my camera.

I asked mommy to let me try on DSLR and I managed to take few photos with it.

Below are some of the photo I took the other day. I think mommy also doesn't know how to use DSLR, that's why all the photos we took are dark, even we took it outdoor.

Dim Sum in Northam Hotel

Mommy & Ah Mah like dim sum. But some times we can't find a good dim sum restaurant.

This time, we tried Taipan Fins Restaurant in Northam Hotel. It used to have dim sum buffet lunch many years ago, but now only a la carte.

The dim sum varieties are not as many as what we expected.

Therefore, no special dim sum for us...only those common like xiu mai, har gao, chee cheong fun, egg tart, cha xiu bao...

As usual, 弟弟 will take his cereal but he also take cha xiu bao.

大闸蟹套餐

Papa was not around last weekend.

Mommy decided to bring Ah Mah to try this Hairy Crab set menu in Dragon-i restaurant.

This set menu is seasonal and It's for 2pax.

This is the first time we try Hairy Crab.

1) 蟹粉小笼包

2）花胶竹笙炖老鸡汤

3）蟹粉扒时菜

4）苏杭东坡肉 ＋ 馒头

5）扬州炒饭

6）清蒸大闸蟹

That's all.

Compare to what we used to see on TV, the Hairy Crab is just a small size but the meat tasted good. It taste a little sweet, don't have very strong crab smell. The shell is soft compare to normal crab as we can use scissor to cut.

My 1st Music Box

This is my 1st music box. I have been requested for a music box quite some times.

Before went to Hong Kong, mommy promised to buy me during Hong Kong trip.

Somehow, we didn't find any during the trip.

After back from Hong Kong, we all kind of forgot about this. I also never mentioned about music box since then.

However, so happened that we saw some music boxes during our weekend shopping.

I told mommy I want the music box and this time mommy bought me one as a reward on my study.

I chose this ballerina music box. (nowadays I like ballerina)

The music box got handle for me to carry. It's easy for me to carry to Ah Mah's house.

Music School Open Day

Our music school got a new branch at Tanjung Tokong, opening some where around Jun this year.

Last Sunday was the open day for this new branch and teacher asked us to go there for some mini concert kind of performance.

We went there in the morning just like our normal class hour.

I managed to play 3 songs on that day. Mommy helped me to take video but she can't uploaded here. Keep on prompt up error.

弟弟 also came along.

Besides the music class, computer class also available.

I had some fun on trying the coloring activity. This is quite similar to Kid Pix Deluxe that 舅舅bought for me.

弟弟 Hospitalize

Poor 弟弟, after down with Roseola a month ago, now 弟弟 down again with fever.

This time even need to admit into hospital.

Mommy brought 弟弟 to see paediatric on Thursday night due to fever and cough.

Doctor prescribed some medicine for him and advise mommy if 弟弟 didn't recover after 3 days, we have to bring 弟弟 back to see doctor.

弟弟 didn't see any sign of recovery after 3 days. He started to have running nose on Friday. He can't finish his milk on Saturday morning and he never take any milk after that. He also doesn't want to take water.

We purposely went to afternoon market to buy mee hoon soup and papaya for 弟弟 since he didn't take milk. Mommy also cooked instant noodles for him (this is one of his favorite food).

However, 弟弟 still did not want to take any of those. This has made mommy worry as he didn't eat anything for almost a day.

On Saturday midnight, 弟弟 still fever. He vomited after took the medicine. It's 3am midnight, mommy planned to send 弟弟 to hospital and she started to pack and tried to wake me up.

However, 弟弟 temperature getting down to normal at that moment. After discussed, mommy decided to wait for few more hours and we will send 弟弟 to hospital early morning.

We reached hospital at 8am, however we only able to see doctor at 9:10am.

After explained all the details to doctor, we were advised to admit 弟弟 into hospital as worry he will dehydrated. Doctor also suggested to do some blood test to confirm his illness. Mommy request to test for H1N1 as well.

However, there was no ward available at that moment and we have to wait till 2pm.

Mommy and 弟弟 stayed in the waiting area and 弟弟 started to have medicine treatment and put him on the

glucose drip.

Blood test result showed fever due to normal virus, not H1N1.

However, 弟弟 temperature still can't get down.

Maintain at level 38'c even after PCM. Doctor suspected Dengi and requested to test again on blood. Result showed it was not Dengi. Doctor started to use antibiotic after that.

On Tuesday morning, Doctor suspected lung infection and requested 弟弟 to do x-ray for confirmation. Yes, X-ray result showed some minor infection on lung. So, 弟弟 have to take another type of antibiotic.

弟弟 started to recover on Tuesday afternoon, after started the antibiotic treatment.

Able to play with his toy, able to smile...mommy said 弟弟 didn't smile for the past few days.

Wonder how he knew that switch is for TV as he was really sick for last few days.

Didn't know that he notice we on and off the TV.

Luckily 弟弟 was allowed to discharged on Wednesday, after 4 days in hospital.

Though not 100% recovered, he was able to drink milk and started to ask for food.

He still need to continue the antibiotic treatment after discharged.
