New restaurant try out for us.

We went there together with mommy's friend - Uncle Ang and two aunties.

Uncle Ang participate in the 8 Week Bootcamp Challenge and he needs to control his diet very strictly.

No salt, no carbohydrate, no sugar - that's why for these 8 weeks, he cannot eat outside food, only eat special meal that prepared according to their menu. This is a competition and the result will be judged and compared based on Before & After the challenge.

Every two weeks, they allow to have a "Cheat Meal" which means they can eat as normal. That is why Uncle Ang asked us to company him to have a BIG meal and eat those food that he stop for 2 weeks.

After the 8 weeks, Uncle Ang told us that he win the local champion. Looks like his hard work really bring him a good return. Congratulations!!

Cute Cookies - Little Bear

Mommy bought this book from bookstore few weeks ago. 

It has many recipe about cookies and all those cookies are very cute. It's meant for the kids, occasion, party...that's the reason mommy bought the book.

For mommy, it's kind of hard to made the bear's face shape, but the result turned out to be ok : ) 

Another try on icing sugar cookies. The icing is not well drawn. Still need improvement.

BAR.B.Q PLAZA

Again, this is a new restaurant to us. First time visit this as normally we won't bring 弟弟 to those restaurant with BBQ or Steamboat. He cannot sit still and like to touch here and there. It's dangerous to have 弟弟 around for this kind of restaurant as the stove is just on the table.

We decided to try this restaurant after watched the advertisement on TV.

We ordered a set for 2. This is a combo of meat, veggie, squid, pumpkin, few pieces of mushroom...

Most of the ingredients are to put on top of the "grill plate" and there is a narrow slot around the edge of the grill plate where water is put inside. We not really know how to "cook" correctly with that kind of design, but we just put everything on top of the hot plate and grilled : )

 We would like to take a photo with the Green Dragon in front of the restaurant. However, we need to queue as there is a big family that took photo with the Dragon one by one.... :(

Finally, is our turn

Not bad, but it will be more fun if come in a big group.

However, it's not buffet style. I think most people prefer buffet style especially go for steamboat / BBQ.

Barbie Design & Dress Studio

I seldom expose to Barbie doll and I don't have any as well. I think this is mommy intention as she may be worried if I like Barbie and want to start the collection :p

My first Barbie doll purchase was because of the workshop on Barbie Design & Dress Studio organized by my art school. I told mommy I want to participate and we were given a voucher which entitle to 30% discount on that Barbie doll kit. Each of us need to buy a set of Barbie Design & Dress Studio and we have to design and decorate during the class. Three winner will be chosen based on the creativity of the design. The prize of course is Barbie set as well : )

 I designed two during the class and the another one do it at home (after the workshop). See the result below:

As a result, I didn't get any prize for the design....as expected. But I did enjoy the process and it was fun.

Dinner at Tamarind Brasserie

We choose to have a buffet dinner as papa's birthday celebration this year.
This round we choose Tamarind Brasserie at Parkroyal Hotel.

We reached there around 6:30pm, good timing to catch the sunset view by the beach.

This is an open-air restaurant on top of wooden rack just right by the beach. You are able to enjoy the spectacular sunset view while having your dinner. It's called Uncle Zack By The Beach.

Well, we went for a buffet dinner and here is the place - Tamarind Brasserie restaurant.

Desserts always be the most attractive part for buffet. Before we start our meal, we always took a quick check on the desserts corner.

It's Saturday and it is Seafood Day. There are lobsters, prawn, crab, fish...
The waiter gave us 4 pcs of Cheese Baked Scallop and we were told that this is special from the kitchen (not from the buffet) but every table will get the same.

 I don't take lobster / prawn. But I like the fried soft shell crab & crackers (as usual, this is my favorite)
Poor 弟弟 just stopped crying after throwing tantrum for quite a while ( I think he cried for 30mins). He seems to be no appetite on all the food except the tomatoes : )

We saw some Tao Sar Piah & Coconut Cookies there, first time we see this in a buffet.

At the end, enjoyed our favorite dessert : ice-cream!!
Although 弟弟 has no appetite on most of the food, he managed to finish 2 scoops of ice-cream and told mommy: "mommy, ice cream yummy!"
