5th Annual Graduation & Concert Night

It's our annual graduation & concert night.
This year our costume is much better compare to last year.
Above photo on the right was taken after the concert. Each of the children got a t-shirt and we put it on for the finale.

Our team performance.

Others group performance.

The 6 years old graduates.
This year the ceremony a bit different from last year.
Last year every graduates came to the stage with their parents and said some thank you speech. This year, all the graduates come to the stage by each branch and they gave the flower that they made to the parents. And there are 2 graduates selected as representative to read the Thank You speech in Malay, Mandarin & English.

Of course there are prize presentation for the model child. However, this year I didn't get it.
Mommy said I must be naughty in school but I told mommy it's because my friend is pretty. *LOL*

Cake Making Class

I participated in a cake making class last Saturday. It was organized by UOB bank at Bishop Street. We need to pay RM5 for the entry fee. There are only 3 of us from our school.

Parents not allow to follow us during the class. Mommy stayed upstairs and she only can took photo from there.
The cake actually made of foam & clay. The jie jie helped me to put the clay on the foam to make like a cake surface.

After that we were ask to draw on the cake for decoration.

Finally this is the cake made by me, of course with more than 50% help from the teacher & jie jie.

Some of the cakes made by the children

After the making class, we were allowed to play with color.
See...my face got sun and there is a bunny on my hand.

Oh...this cake is so nice, right? It's real cake prepared by bank for all of us.
I took 2 pieces as it's so delicious and I can eat the cloud.

Finally, the group photo.

Of course the main purpose of the bank is to encourage parents to open saving account for children and also saving plan. Mommy only open a saving account for me, she didn't sign up with the saving plan.
Now most of the bank offer FD interest rate for children account, not bad hor?

Ballet

[posted by mommy]

While I still wondering whether to send Thung for an art class, suddenly she request for Ballet.
My mom also told me not to load Thung with too many classes or activities. That's the reason I just wondering, thinking....and never action.

However, this time...Thung approached me.
On Saturday afternoon, she threw me a question:
Thung:"Mommy, can I learn ballet? Got class, like music? can? please..."
She likes to add 'please...' whenever she request something.
I never thought that she will request to learn ballet as I never introduce ballet to her.

She knew about ballet from Angelina Ballerina. Who's that? It's a cartoon series on a mouse that dance ballet.

She keeps on asking me about ballet through out the weekend:
"mommy, we are going to find the ballet school?"
"mommy, we are going to ask on the ballet class later?"
"mommy, you are going to call ,right?"
"mommy, did you call?"

I managed to get the contact from Xin Yi's mommy on Sunday afternoon but I didn't make a call. Monday evening, Thung asked again:"mommy, afternoon did you call the ballet school?"
Oops...mommy forgot, will call on the next day.

Looks like she is really interested in learning ballet. I am not sure is due to the ballet skirt or she really likes it. Let's see what happen after we get the trial lesson.

Too user friendly?

Normally kids like to play with handphone but they don't like toy phone. They like the real phone. We gave 弟弟 old handphone which no longer function but he just play for short while.

Mommy sometimes allow 弟弟 to take her handphone as she thought 弟弟 doesn't know how to unlock. However I think mommy is wrong.

弟弟 put his thumb on the sliding bar....and few tries later, the phone is unlock and 弟弟 is opening the application. Besides, 弟弟 also knows that he need to press on the one-tap access button to turn on the screen to unlock.

Should I said that iPhone is too user friendly until a 17months old boy also know how to unlock and open the application?

弟弟 down with fever - Roseola

弟弟 had sudden fever on Sunday's morning. His temperature always maintain at 37.8 ~ 38'C even after took the paracetamol. Although this is not high fever, the temperature just maintain there and won't go down. We can feel that his forehead, palm, foot are warm.

On Sunday midnight mommy brought 弟弟 to see 24 hrs clinic as his temperature still at level of 38'C after few prescription of medicine. Mommy doesn't really trust the 24hrs clinic but no choice as it was 2am in the midnight. The doctor told mommy 弟弟 throat is red and like infection. That's the reason caused 弟弟 fever. He gave 弟弟 antibiotic.

However, mommy didn't gave 弟弟 any of the antibiotic and on the next day morning brought 弟弟 to see his paediatric. This doctor told mommy 弟弟 throat is ok and no need to take antibiotic, just paracetamol will do. But if the fever didn't recover after 4 days, 弟弟 has to revisit.

弟弟 continue to take paracetamol but his fever still didn't recover. Fever make him feel uncomfortable and he has a decreased appetite. He refused to drink milk and water. To make sure he takes enough water, we have to mix fruit juice into the water for him. He also has mild diarrhea. Not really diarrhea as his bowel movement still once per day but his stools is watery.

This continue till Tuesday evening.
Mommy noticed that 弟弟 left eye is swollen a bit as 弟弟 has double eyelid now.
Therefore, mommy took 弟弟 to see my paediatric this round.
Dr Lim checked 弟弟 one round and he also mentioned 弟弟 throat has no problem. He started to check on 弟弟 body and try to find some reddish spots. He told mommy it could be Roseola. He even used the magnifier to check on the red spot he found on 弟弟 body. During the check up, there were 3 ~ 5 spots on 弟弟 body. Dr Lim told mommy it's Roseola and the rash will come up on the 4th day of fever. After that the fever will be ended. However, if rash didn't come up on the 4th day and the temperature didn't come down, 弟弟 has to come back for check up again.

On Wednesday evening, 弟弟 face start to see some reddish spots. We also found spots on his back. And 弟弟 also recovering, his temperature start to go down to normal and he has better appetite now.

Can you see the red spot on 弟弟 forehead, cheek & nose?

Hope 弟弟 will be fully recovered soon.

What We Had Tried In HK

We don't purposely find the famous restaurant or so called "must try" food during our trip.
The reason is we don't want to waste our time to find the place and with 弟弟 around we don't really able to travel here and there.

However, if so happened that we can find the food, we will tried it out. Not really from famous restaurant, but at least we tasted...Hong Kong's style, Hong Kong's flavor.

Like this, we tried the egg tart.
The very first egg tart we had was in Disneyland. It was quite expensive but it tasted really good. 2nd egg tart was from a bakery in the airport, it's a square egg tart. The 3rd egg tart was from a bakery near our hotel. 4th was from the dim sum's restaurant that we tried out at the mall besides Wong Tai Sin. Out of these 4, Disneyland's egg tart is the best.
The egg tart from bakery.........and the egg tart from dim sum restaurant.

We also had Wan Tan Mee in Hong Kong. Mommy's friend told her 池记 is the famous, however the one we tried was from the restaurant in The Peak. When the waitress served the mee, we thought it's just mee without wantan as the bowl is so small and all the wantan was at the bottom of the bowl :p

许留山, sounds like people's name. However, it's a dessert house.
The desserts made of fruits. Mango, coconut, kiwi, honeydew, papaya....etc.
Papa ordered Mango + coconut. Ah mah ordered watermelon and 舅舅had the another type of mango dessert. The dessert is good but the waitress service is very bad, not friendly at all.

Not only these of course. We tried many food in Hong Kong, stay tune....
